Soil and groundwater sampling is performed to evaluate subsurface environmental conditions and to identify the presence, type, and extent of potential contamination. This service is commonly conducted as part of Phase II or Phase III Environmental Site Assessments and environmental due diligence investigations. Sampling activities may include the advancement of soil borings, installation of groundwater monitoring wells, and collection of soil and groundwater samples at targeted locations based on site history and identified environmental concerns. All fieldwork is performed in accordance with approved work plans, applicable ASTM standards, and federal and state regulatory requirements. Collected samples are submitted to certified analytical laboratories for testing of parameters such as petroleum hydrocarbons, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), semi-volatile organic compounds (SVOCs), metals, and other site-specific constituents of concern. Analytical results are evaluated against applicable regulatory criteria to assess potential environmental risk and support decision-making. Soil and groundwater sampling provides critical data used for contamination assessment, remediation planning, regulatory compliance, and property redevelopment.
